Hey..great show last night at the Exit-In. The opening band was Silvergirl...local I think, and they were actually really good. Then Sloan came out and opened with "Ready for You," I think. At first they seemed a bit tired, but about half way through Andrew got the guitar and kicked into "people of the sky," then the mood shifted..and Sloan went into overdrive. The rest of the set was very rockin. I can't remember the very last song, but "Things can happen if we stay" was close to the end and as usual it rocked. The crowd was defintely into the whole show and it was great to see Sloan down this far south. See you guys again soon!!!
I saw Sloan a few years back at the 9:30 Club in DC and I must say that even though the crowd in Nashville was smaller than in DC, the band looked like they were enjoying themselves more. I was thrilled that I was given the chance to see Sloan in such an intimate setting.
My favourites among the songs the guys included were "Anyone Who's Anyone," "I am the Cancer," "Coax Me," "The Lines You Amend," "If It Feels Good Do It" and "The Good in Everyone."
Even though I was late for work this morning due to being at the show last night, it was well worth it and I'd do it again in a second.
this was my 4th time to see Sloan and it did not dissapoint. the opening band was much better than the band that opened for them last week in Atlanta. Sloan were in good spirits as they took the stage with "ready for you." They played a lot of Action Pact, which is fine by me. I love that CD. Highlights for me were "I was wrong..my favorite of the CD, and "The lines you amend." Jay seemd a little dazed at times, but that's just Jay I guess, I did enjoy hearing one of the bonus tracks on the US Acton Pact release..guess I'll have to buy it again! "If it feels good do it" was the last song and as usual Sloan came out and talked to everyone. no matter how many times you talk to Chris he is always responsive and kind. Thanks you guys! Hope to see you once more before you head out of the states!

Just had to say that the show last night in Nashville was absolutely magnificant... Sloan rocked! The guys seemed to enjoy themselves, getting more and more energetic as the night went on. I was front row, center stage... and loved every minute of their set. With some of the faces Chris made being silly (what a hottie!), you could tell he was having a blast up there. They played alot off of the new CD, which was great.... But some of their earlier songs were perfect. My favorites from the set were "I Am The Cancer" and "The Other Man"... It was cool they were shooting some type of documentary and were interviewing fans on it. They seemed down to earth, and truly care for us fellow music-lovers. Thanx Sloan for such an awesome night. And also for the guitar pick!
Thanks for the dance. Good Times!!

Now I can Die Happy.
There were Beattles-esque moments when I thought I would burst into tears or have a nervous breakdowm, but I made it out okay and am seriously still reeling. Been waiting a while, and it was well worth it.
Wish I could have been here for this one!!! I live in East Tennessee and my brake line on my truck busted as I was leaving towards Nashville. Needless to say, I was pissed. Anyway, my GF went for me (I urged her to, she was living in Nashville at the time) and I heard "Rest of My Life" on my cell phone. She also got me a t-shirt so it wasn't a total loss. Hope to see Sloan visit Tennessee again!!
