this was my first sloan show, it was something to look forward to and something to remember. I loved it. You guys could have played all night, just kept reeling in the crowd (not that you lost them) with great new hooks and some old favorites. I think i got a picture of a highkick... i'll have to see how it turned out.

Great show. I got to catch Chris and Patrick at the Akard Dart Rail Station that afternoon and that was one of the most surreal experiences I've ever seen. I think it was for them as well. Chris seemed to have a good time with it. Patrick not so much. The show at Trees was fantastic. They truely are one of the tightest bands I've seen. And I love how they bring it loud! Chris is a damn good drummer too. Only bummer was they didn't play "She Says What She Means", which KILLED when they played it opening for Jet a few months back. Anyway, I hope the boys are enjoying playing all these cities that they haven't been before and seeing that people way down here in Texas give a shit about them. Bands around here could learn a thing or two from Sloan.

andrews songs were p.o.t.s. and sensory deprivation .

take it in? they didn't play that one. they did do a cover of blitzkrieg bop (ramones) in tribute to johnny's death. the guitar tech sat in on drums and a girl from the crowd joined chris on stage to sing it.

amazing set. easily the best show i've been to in a long time. the "andrew" section of the set was 'people of the sky' and 'sensory deprivation', and 'take it in' was replaced with 'gimme that'.

the rail station acoustic show earlier in the day was... well, some of us were there. i've been trying to remember the setlist from that, but here's what i remember (not in order at all): 'the other man', 'keep on thinking', 'losing california', 'the rest of my life', 'a long goodbye', 'stand by me', and an impromptu 'i am the cancer'. nice.

that was what the setlist said, but there were a couple of changes...

Where it said "Andrew", they actually played "People of the Sky"(!!) and then "Sensory Deprivation".

And the first song of the encore was a cover of "Blitzkrieg Bop" in tritubute to Johnny Ramone, and then something else that was most certainly not "Take It In", and then "If It Feels Good Do It".
