I'd have to say it wasn't a good show but it was not Sloan fault at all. Most of the audience on the floor were drunk moshers and Jay and Chris asked them to chill out 4-5 times and these kids didn't want to listen and we all know that you NEVER mosh @ a Sloan show!!!I don't think it was a plesant experiance for the lads. Jay was also having some technical problems with his amo rig but hey these things happen so no worries Jay!!! It was nice to hear songs like Poor Boy and Sensory(where Andrew and Chris were on fire) which I haven't seen live in a long time and nice to hear Live On which I had never seen live before.
Let me say that my day got a whole lot better when a security guard yelled at my friends and I, "HEY YOU KIDS, have some wristbands." I ended up being so close up that it boggled my mind a little.
Super set. Thank you for People of the Sky and Underwhelmed. Thank you for telling moshers to get a life. Thank you, Chris, for some beautifully executed scissor-kicks. Thank you, Patrick, for signing my CD and assuring me I'd never see another rock show like that.
All in all, a good time had by all in the near-suburbia that is my home, North York.
if anyone has a recording of this show I'd be willing to trade other Sloan bootlegs or do a B+P...

Funny, I was at this concert too, and thought they sounded great! I knew that Jay was having difficulty because he was kicking his amp and had a very unhappy look on his face. Out of the bands that played that night, Sloan sounded the best!
A good show alas crappy venue. (deleted a whole paragraph because, its not Sloan's fault). So on with more positive commentary. Mike Nelson rises to the occassion again. Thank you for finding those extra wristbands. In the future if you find any around I will be happy to use them. Best of luck and cheers.
