This was a good show. After the show we talked with Andrew and Pat and found out they played Friday night for some Microsoft thingy. Wish we would of known we would of been there too! So we know that they were tired and not used to starting so early. I was hoping that there would be a better turn out for Sloan's sake but as a fan I love the intimate setting. This type of shows gives fans a chance to meet the band. I would gladly send the band money if I knew where to send it and that they would get it.
Andrew & Pat thank you for taking the time to talk with Matt and I. Also, I want to thank Andrew, Pat and Jay for autographing my ticket. Andrew you did a great job signing for Chris, Thank you!!!!
Peace, Love & Empathy

Would that be Seattle Gina from the show, by any chance? My friend needs your contact info.
BTW, thank you, lads, for making this worth the 9-hour drive for my friend and I. I also appreciated Chris saying hi again briefly to us at the pizza place nearby when he spotted us. All around, a wonderful night.
I saw them the night before at the Microsoft thingy. It was a special show for Canadian partners (dealers) of Microsoft. They played two sets, and as the crowd warmed up, the band and the crowd seemed to feed off each other, and Sloan put on an awesome show. They rocked hard throughout the night and gave the best show I've seen in a long time.
I was also at the Microsoft thingy. Great show - really appreciated you guys rockin' for a bunch of geeks like us. Hope to see you in Vancouver some day soon.

Hi Andrew, Chris, Jay and Patrick -
<p>
Thanks for coming to Minneapolis! I can't figure out why there weren't hoardes of people at your show either! You are constantly my in my visor-cd-holder in the minvan - right next to Coldplay, Radiohead - and Elmo's Low-Down HoeDown for my wee ones!
<p>
My hubby and I loved seeing you up close and personal. Our hearts went out to you at this dismal showing (on a Saturday night even) but hope you loved hearing everyone sing along! You have more fans here than showed up to be sure. We hope you will make room on future tours for our little city. Give me an email before you come and we'll see what we can do to help spread the buzz around .
<p>
Thanks to Chris for waving at me ( I was standing on a chair so I could see- I am too short!) while I belted out "coax me...." We liked saying Hi to Patrick and Jay as they were heading out the back door to the bus. If we were braver we would have said someting more than "great show, guys!"
<p>
Pizza nearby (from other fans' postings) - could that have been Pizza Luce? If there's going to be an afterparty let us know next time!
<p>
It was a fabulous set, a good mix, lots of the old favorites, and new stuff too - and just a wonderful rapport with us fans and good local humor (maybe everyone was out seeing Prince or Morris Day and the Time?)
<p>
Seriously you have to get yourself booked at the 400 Bar in Mpls. or the Turf Club in St. Paul next time around. I think the Quest's room was a rotten venue for you. You made it into the "A List" in City Pages that week but got no nod from the stuffy newspapers. Have you checked out our new Public Radio/Alternative Rock station at 89.3 The Current? They should be playing you daily!
<p>
And next time you're in town and need a back up singer to sing "You've got a thing for me and I got a thing for you too" send me a line -I would love to join you!
