Brought 3 first-timers to the show, you blew them away. Good mix of new and old stuff, though the crowd wasn't as good as years past (had to work real hard to get the Sloan chants going between songs). Wish I could show up again tonight, but I'm going to see the Pixies @ Jones Beach. Anyone get the set list?

Well, what more can be said, that hasn't already? Sloan rocked the house in 90 degree NYC last nite, blowing us all away! Sheer rocknroll bliss as they ran through their catalog of 'hits', the 2 new tunes, and quite a few obscurities, as Mr. Murphy put it himself. At Sloan shows, I'm always beaming like proud papa as I watch newbies amidst the crowd converted into sloanies. Thank you again, you guys never fail to impress even us jaded rockers. All bands should take a cue from you gents: loved all the extended 'jam' sections/surprise setlist changes/ad-lib harmonies, etc. Made for a really exciting show, I was on my toes the whole time! Just wish the sound mix was more together when you launched into Losing California but i'm sure those Bowery guys'll get it better tonite. Might I repeat what you wrote in the '4 Nights...' liner notes?: Tuning? Overrated. See y'all tonite!
