Fan Reviews

Fantastic show, Chris had tons of energy and rockstar poses, and was gracious enough to chat with the fans after the show. My first Sloan show in a long time, and it didn't disappoint. Came in from central PA, 3 and a half hours away, and it was completely worth it. Thanks guys! How about making a stop in State College sometime?

We drove down from NY to catch Sloan at the Northstar Bar, and we're glad we did! Northstar is a nice, friendly little neighborhood bar. The vibe was relaxed, but the band rocked! Capital Years did a very good job opening, and it was nice meeting both bands afterwards. We'll see you guys at the Bowery in NYC (our favorite place!) Thanks for a great show. The T-shirts are cool, too!

Yet another great show...I think this is number 8 for me and I can't wait to see them in NYC on 6/14! Thanks to the guys for signing an old Chart Magazine for my brother who was too young to attend. My friend took a bunch of pics...I'll ask him to post a few on this site. I also drove past their tour bus this afternoon on I-95 South on my way to the Phillies game...who else has a huge dark green bus with Alberta plates? ROCK ON!!!

Great show!!!!

Glad to hear a few non A sides like Suppose They Close The Door and Take Good Care Of The Poor Boy...Andrew, keep it up man, Sensory Deprivation was incendiary....the new songs sound great too, looking forward to a new record...I believe it is time to let Jay have Track 1, he's yet to have the honor....

Another great show...full of energy, laughs, instrument switching and oh yeah, ROCK!!!!! Thanks to the guys for signing a back issue of Chart magazine for my brother who was too young to attend. I'll see you in NYC for another great night of music.

Unfortunately I don't have the set list, but one thing I can say was that Sloan was going for the jugular with this set. Chris was really working the crowd and getting everyone to sing along and clap. I think he should get some super-cool Kareem Abdul Jabbar basketball glasses once and for all to stop his glasses from falling off. Part of the fun was seeing if he was going to step on them.

I think it was before Chester the Molester that someone yelled out "Friendship" and Chris responded "the song or the theory?" and jumped into the "Jooooolene?" part, off key, which cracked the band and the crowd up.

Andrew was really sinking into his songs, which turned into some of the longer jams of the night. I wish I had my camera, as the brick wall to stage left would have made a great backdrop to Andrew's (and Jay for that matter) stage presence.

It was cool seeing them in such an intimate setting, as the only other time I saw them (DC last year) was less conducive to interaction (light show, way too loud PA). This time around, it was all about the rock.

Another amazing show by Sloan!

I have seen them 5 times now and they were 5 times as glorious. I took some great shots of the band in action and I will upload soon.

After the show, as usual, the band members talked and hung with the fans. You can't ask for more. They are best live show going!

Thanks for coming to Philly again! Every time you come to Philly, I will be there!

Had a great time at the show, still hear the buzzing in my ears, yay!
Haven't been able to see Sloan since the TLA last May and they are still excellent.

Slooaaaaaaannnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for another amazing performance in our hometown, Philly, PA! We truly appreciate having you guys in town. Amongst all the songs in the playlist, I was loving the way you performed The Lines You Amend. I last heard it live at the Bowery in NYC a few years ago and forgotten how good you do this song live. Great job on the mic Jay.

I'm sure I speak for other devoted fans, but I just have to thank all of you and note how impressed I am with how involved you all are with the audience. It was my 3rd time seeing Sloan live and it just keeps getting better every time. I thought the Capital Years were nice mix and strong with the audience as well. I can't explain how much my crew looks forward to Sloan visiting our city and putting on shows like you did at the NorthStar. It was also kind of surreal seeing you guys play in that part of Philly, even though the neighborhood seems to have gotten better and the NorthStar is an excellent venue.

You guys are the best and hope to see you all again for another amazing show next year!
