Fan Reviews

Great show!

Down front where my wife and were standing, the crowd seemed to really be into it, and the bad was definitely feeding off the energy. They particularly tore up "Sensory Deprivation" ... just a manic jam, with Chris going even more berzerk on the drums than we'd ever seen before. They did "500 UP", which I'd never heard live before -- Chris said it was a request from some fans who'd flown all the way from Los Angeles. They also played the new single, after Chris warned us that they didn't know it that well yet ... and of course it sounded wonderful.

The only down side was that the festival made them shut it down at 11:00. They seemed like they could've kept going for at least another hour!

This show was rockin'! The band was tight and the music was solid. They played all their best rockers, and a few tunes that are tour classics. The set list looked like this:
500 Up
Ready For You
The Lines You Amend
All Used Up
Sensory Deprivation
People of the Sky
Coax Me
Money City Maniacs
Who Taught You To Live Like That
The Other Man
The Good In Everyone
The Rest of My Life
ENCORE
She Says What She Means
If It Feels Good Do It

All in all, I really enjoyed this show, but personally prefer the indoor shows, because there is a more concentrated Sloan fanbase.

Incredible performance tonight. The boys started off with 500 up to get the party started, and they never let up for the next hour. Unfortunately, the show was only an hour, due to overly restrictive city bylaws that forced the greatest rock and roll band in the world to pull the plug at 11 PM... they should have broke the bylaw anyways, and made their escape by balloon under cover of darkness!

Anyways, everyone in the crowd had a great time, and Sloan rocked through their A Sides Win canon perfectly, which pumped up the crowd even more... I love it when they put different spins on their hits, which always makes for a great show.

Loved Who Taught You to Live Like That, can't wait for Ovation/New Album...
Thanks guys, you made my summer complete!

Excellent show!
I was waiting on Try to Make it but the two rockers at the end were perfectly executed. At least I heard Who Taught You to Live and All Used Up.
Don't have any pics to post but the photographers there I'm sure took some lovely ones - perhaps they will post some.
Thanks for coming! :)

Hey guys - Great set - I loved hearing the new single live. Don't worry, the lack of piano was not a hinderance to the tune at all! I just wanted to add that I appreciated you coming over to say hi after the show. It was great to hear you play after a long hiatus! I was glad I wasn't crushed by the people who knocked the gates over. That was ridiculous!

I have to go put my newly autographed tapes in a safe place. :) Hope to see you back again soon.

By the way - last night's show marked 10 shows attended for me.. looking forward to #11!

Excellent show as always! Too bad you only got to play for an hour due to London's noise laws. Nonetheless, a very excellent show. For all those interested, the set list was as follows (my order may be a little off as I am going by memory):

500 Up
Ready For You
All Used Up
The Lines You Amend
Coax Me
Money City Maniacs
Who Taught You To Live Like That
Sensory Deprivation
People of the Sky
The Rest of My Life
The Other Man
The Good In Everyone

Encore:
She Says What She Means
If It Feels Good Do It

It was the first time I've seen you play She Says What She Means. I thank you for that. According to the London Free Press, the crowd was over 10000 people. Nice to see I'm not the only one who loves SLOAN!
