Sloan

The Sloan concert was tremendous. No surprise there. What made the night extra special for me was members (chris, Jay, patriack I'm looking at you) of the band taking time out to pose for pictures with me and other fans after the show (even if I was sort of drunk hehe). That was awesome. Can't say enough good things about Sloan...I've seen them live like 10 times and its always a blast. I loved hearing Penpals!

Sloan put together a tight knit show that would satisfy any of their true fans. The songs from their new album are a welcome addition to their already delicious collection of tunes. It's nice to grow up along side a band. I appreciate them even more as a part of my own personal music history collection and, from the sounds of things, will continue to do so.

Just want to say the show was amazing! I hope Winnipeg remains a standout on your Canadian tours. Great setlist and an half decent crowd. Probably about 350-400 people. Great considering a local radio station that doesn't even play Sloan was presenting the show :(

Terrific show! The new material is great! The new record is a giant pop masterpiece. Guys, your instincts are correct to play as much of it as you can get away with. I agree with the previous poster that it's really makes the fans feel special when the band comes out for a meet and greet. Jay, thanks for the conversation and for posing with me for a pic. Patrick, it was great to meet you - sorry that I frightened you by hoping that Ill Placed Trust pulls a "Soul Asylum" and rockets to the top. If you'd rather, I'll wish you a "Nick Lowe" and you can become a millionaire off of royalties when someone lame covers one of your songs.

Great Show! I was lucky enough to purchase the only vinyl "4 Nights at the Palais Royal" at the merch table, going to spin it down at the bar tonight. The Yoko Casionos were a great opener as well, those high-spirited kids.

A much more intimate setting than the last show with the Foo Fighters. Far more apropos.

It's been a while for me and (to be honest) I have kinda given up. But wow! is Sloan ever back. Lve the new record. The show was killer. A bit long but who cares it's Sloan!. The guys were in top playing form and carrying a very competent sideman (Gary MacDonald) playing keys (gary plays great but should probably not wander from his stage position). Can't name another band who keeps putting out great records after fifteen years. Long live Sloan. Thanks boys.

Your attempt at 'American Woman' was absolutely dreadful, but it was completely charming that you tried to tribute our fair city!!! Very cute, and I laughed! Everything else was brilliant!! I've seen you fellas & met some or all of you several times, and it's still exciting to see you every single time! Please come back soon!

Once again, another fantastic Sloan concert!
Sloan just keeps getting better and better. It's refreshing to hear the great new songs alongside the classics! Kudos to Sloan's crew for making it all work so seamlessly. The guys had yet another meet and greet with fans after the show, and autographed my daughter's pictures from July's Superspike Festival concert. This band rocks! This band rewards their fans time and time again. Thanks for a rockin'-good-time!
