Sloan are definitely Canada's finest! After spending huge money to see international acts play here in Winnipeg, I was blown away by Sloan and their performance at the Pyramid… and the fact it cost me $20 to stand 4 feet away from the stage was icing on the cake. Great show, please come back soon!
If you’ve never been and you get a chance, GO AND SEE one of their shows!!
Always, always a blast!
From what I remember, this is what was played…
Penpals
Which’s Wand
Burn For It
All I Am Is All You’re Not
Losing California
Snowsuit Sound
Emergency 911
Down in the Basement
Something’s Wrong
Living with the Masses
Fading into Obscurity
C’mon C’mon
I’m not a Kid Anymore
Believe in Me
Lines you Amend
Who taught you to live like that
Money City Maniacs
The Dogs
Blackout
HFXNSHC
I Can Feel It
Everything you’ve done wrong
I Love a Long Goodbye
People of the Sky (Ba ba bada ba)
The Other Man
She Says What She Means (Gregory on Bass)
Push Pins (Will Currie and the Country French & Sloan)
The second encore song (a 50s/60s Rock ‘n’ Roll twisting song) involved everyone on stage…Will Currie and the Country French and all the members of Sloan (including Gregory and even Andrew!!)
Awesome!!
Sloan rocked it as usual. Well done! It was worth the 3 hour trip from North Dakota. I don't understand why Sloan isn't bigger in the States...should be!
Sloan, like fine wine and fine art just continues to appreciate with time.
Whether it's hearing a classic like If It Feels Good Do It, Penpals or People Of The Sky or the newer songs like Witches Wand, Believe In Me or All I Am Is All You're Not, this band continually delivers a great live show for their fans.
Probably the fan-friendliest band on the planet, they also are kind enough to either chat for a moment or sign an autograph for their fans. If you're a Sloan fan, but have never been to a Sloan show, you really must go, to fully appreciate them live and to take in not only the sights, but the great sounds of a truly great band.
