Sloan, you guys were great last night. Apologies for the yahoos that kept throwing rolls of toilet paper onto the stage, hitting you several times in the guitars (and who was the brainiac wot thought it'd be a good idea to hand out free rolls of t.p. before a rock show. I think it was Royelle, so it was softer than the stuff in the outhouses). THE worst was the guy who threw a basketball at the drum kit. I wish you could have played longer, and that I had been standing in between the banks of loudspeakers as the sound was Patrick biased to your right. I kept waiting for Chris and/or Jay to signal to the sound engineer to crank up their mikes. Anyway, good song selection for the time you had available.
Come back again next year!

Great show, long time fan, first time seeing them play...Toilet Paper was flying!

can you post a set list?

Thanks!

It was great to see Sloan at the Sound of Music Festival again. Unfortunately I missed the last time Sloan played at the free Burlington festival and it was nice to see them on the last day of spring, even if it was raining.

Interestingly enough Royale had a truck in the middle of the food area handing out rolls of toilet paper and the combination of drinking and free tp made for a situation where several rolls of tp ended up on stage with Sloan. A roll hit Chris who laughed about it and in between "Everything You've Done Wrong" and "Emergency 911" he said "We have enought toilet paper. At least for the night." Though Chris threw a couple of rolls back into the crowd, which likely enticed only more to be thrown at the band. And several songs later Andrew's guitar was hit by a roll, which he tried to ignore.

Sloan as per usual played a great mix of songs from early to current Sloan albums. And though they were wet and being pelted with toilet paper they seemed to be in good spirits and played well. In the encore they band announced that it was their keyboard player Gregory McDonald's 29th birthday and said what a great job he does with the keyboards, vocals and the siren for the set closer "Money City Maniacs" and when the classic from 'Navy Blues' started they even said "See we told you he's good."
