Once again, the boys did not fail to disappoint. What a weird show though. No one up dancing, just enjoying our comfy, paid for, reserved seats.
A few classics on Twice Removed surface during this first stop ever in Truro. I'm glad we made the trek from HRM to see Sloan as the intimate venue was well worth the price of admission. Also, I finally met and received an autograph from the elusive Andrew. The collection is now complete!
I was lucky enough to travel with a former Murderecords volunteer who had the sweet hookup. Chris even took note of my homemade handicraft Sloan scarf. But then again, who wouldn't? Sweat shop talk lead to a photo op session before the evening ended.
Overall, a fantastic show with plenty of favourites and that Mr. Muprhy was as creamy, I mean dreamy as ever. On second thought, not certain on the latter as much as the former, but no one's going to read this so I'm sure it doesn't matter.
First time I saw you guys, and I loved it. You were by far the loudest act I've seen at the Marigold. I think it's great that bands and entertainers such as yourselves will play small venues like the Marigold Cultural Center. It was definitely the first time I stood up during a performance there. There's no doubt this town needs some life breathed into it once in a while, and you guys sure did that! ROCK ON!!
