Fan Reviews

Dearly Beloved rocked the place. If are curious to there sound, imagine Patrick on steroids. If Patrick were to produce a band, they would bring the sound and pack a punch. He indiscreetly watched their set from stage right.

There was a lengthy “sound distribution adjustment period” pre show. OK, I will pay to say it, there was a lengthy “Sound Check” and then Greg led them on stage.

On with the show.

Follow the Leader, The Answer was You, Unkind And were off and running!
Marquee and the Moon. There clientele can go to hell. Great song Chris.
Snowsuit Sounds – Jay sounded great. If Geffen didn’t have their head in their ass this song would have played well in the states.
Burn 4 It
Shadow of Love
Everything You’ve Done Wrong--- Patrick really brought this to life. Great song live.
Who taught you to live like that.
Gimme That. If Sloan were a super hero…”Oh you're gonna feel my power” Apologies to northerners who dis AP, Patrick and Chris were dynamite.

She’s Slowing Down
Something
Traces … Plays as well live as it does cruisn in your car.
Sinking Ships

Whats to Decide. Sounded as solid as if you had just listened to Smeared the first time.
Its Plain to See
Your Daddy will Do. This song is building momentum and growing on me. Daddy Be Cool
Don’t Believe a Word
I Gotta Know
Coax Me
Beverley Terrace. Great live song, destined to be a Sloan Classic played live for years.
The Good in Everyone. The crowd really came alive and started bouncing. This concert built into a great climax
The Lines you Amend
The Other Man
Money City Maniacs …. Chris paid tribute to U2 who was also in town for the evening, picking up a piece of “Gloria” and paying tribute to Patrick and his mancrush on “The Edge” who then took us home via the yellow line.
Post show I had a chance to meet everyone but Patrick.

Jay is extremely humble and genuine in accepting compliments. Andrew puts off a uber cool vibe and really put forth a monster effort on drums and lead. Chris took the time to answer a question and gave me an impromptu “blow it” from another way I can do it. He said it challenges his chords if they play it a lot. I also noticed his enjoyed the bouncing betty's who were just in front of the stage.
I talked to Greg about his work on Beverly Terrace and what he brings to the band. Cool dudes.

Review part two after tonights show in Portland. Rock on Guys, thanks for bringing the music to the fans.

So sad I missed Sloan in Ballard. I "had to" go to the U2 show across town in Seattle. I seriously wanted to give away my ticket to see Sloan. Sounds like I missed a great show.
