This was far and away Sloan's best Columbus show since the BTB shows at Little Brother's in 1999! Good turn out for a Columbus show. I had so much fun! Reminded me of the energy of the mid-90's shows I saw them play in NYC. Maybe it was the fact that they were playing most of those songs!
It was Chris' 44th birthday. He intro-ed "Underwhelmed" by saying something like: "I'm 44. I wrote this song when I was 19." He did not pull anyone on-stage and give them his bass to play.
It was also the day after Barack Obama was re-elected. Half-way through the show he said something along the lines of: "I was told not to get political. No. wait, no one tells me anything..."
