Fan Reviews

Was at the Chicago show last night. Once again, the boys didn't fail to disappoint. I especially enjoyed hearing Twice Removed in it's entirety.

I endured a very long train ride from St. Louis to attend this show, and let me tell you--I don't regret it at all! This was the first time I'd seen you guys in seven years, and my third Sloan show in as many cities (St. Louis in '04, Minneapolis in '05, and Chicago this past Saturday). Unfortunately, I didn't get a whole lot of pics, as my phone got on low battery before the show even started. However, I was so busy singing along and dancing (as much as I could--it was crowded in there!) to really care. I heard nearly every song I wanted to hear Saturday night. Hell, "Chester the Molester" was in the encore, which I did not expect. I thought the deviations from the second set list (of which, along with the first set list, I took one of the few photos) were solid choices.

And as always, the guys were great after the show, too, as always. I always appreciate the time you guys take to talk to the fans.

I hope to see you guys again sooner than seven years from now. I will definitely make sure of that!

Sloan put on yet another stellar show at a packed Subterranean Saturday. I loved hearing Twice Removed cover to cover, "Deeper than Beauty" and "Snowsuit Sound" were favourites. Let's hope they stick with this idea of honouring an album- I'd love to hear Between the Bridges. The second set was also great- highlights included "Everything You've Done Wrong", "Traces" and deep cuts "Take Good Care of the Poor Boy" and "Fading into Obscurity". I have to admit I was the clown who kept yelling "Chester the Molester", so I was thrilled when they ended up playing it. Jay, Chris, and Andrew hung out at the upstairs bar after the show, and were totally cool about chatting with fans and signing autographs. Thanks for a great show guys! Way to represent Halifax!
