What an amazing show! The guys are so great on stage and off. The quality of sound was awesome... and I couldn't believe that Chris actually did a backwards sommersault while playing! Thanks for the autograph and picture Chris!
Last night was AMAZING! To get out of the car after an 11 hour drive from Kingston and arrive at my friend Ashley's only to discover Chris and Andrew of SLOAN (!!!!) watching the simpsons and eating brownies in her livingroom. YEAH! highlight of my life...
And as far as the show went...sooooo GREAT! The venue was awesome and I hope they'll be back very soooooon! I'm sure dinner will be provided again... thanks guys! you're awesome!
Sloan you guys were amazing and how could we forget Cuff the Duke, also wicked. Thanks so much Chris and Andrew for walking in the freezing cold on Pim Street with me, to bad you didn't eat dinner at my house, none the less it was still really fun--not an everyday occurance. Anyways the show was amazing and I can't wait to check out another one soon. Oh and I love my new sloan vinyl and underwear.. thanks again to the cuff the duke guys..paul I wont spend your dollar..!
Amazing show fellas! Fourth time seeing you, and it just keeps getting better. The new material sounds great live, and the energy! I don't know how you do it, but keep it up. Oh, "I Was Wrong" definitely needs to be a single! It's a great tune, and it just digs in your brain and sticks there!
The Sloan show on friday night was absolutely fantastic. So much talent goes into every song and the overall atmosphere in our capus bar was lifted by the upbeat style of music. Action Pact is a great albumn and I have and will continue to reccomend it to any rock fans. I saw Sloan at Edgefest a month ago and it was great as well, but seeing them in a small venue like a campus bar was the best way to experience it.
It was wild and crazy! It was also my second Sloan show and I enjoyed this more than the previous (State Theater in Detroit), probably because this time I was 20 feet away from them. Cuff the Duke was good, too. Good times.
Great show. You guys are awesome live and you play together so well. I like your shoes.... they must be 25 years old. Anywho,

I was at last night's 'intimate' show in Sault Ste. Marie and I just wanted to say thank you so much for playing such a small venue! I was right up there in front (just behind all the underage girls *wink*) and it was incredible to feel such a part of the show! You guys rocked and I thouroughly enjoyed the experience! (Can you come back next weekend??)

Amazing show guys... simply amazing! i know i told you guys that about 20 times while you were eating your after show pizza but again.. wonderful show. The crowd tonight was super well behaved and otherwise an easy night for security at the Bar.

It was just unreal seeing these guys so close, getting a hand shake from Chris Murphy, and having a brief, but awesome talk with Jay!!

I never wanted it to end!!!!
This was my 4th sloan show, and it was great. People need to realize that Sloan is one of the hardest working bands in the world and that Chris Murphy has the best eyeware around. They really put together a great setlist, I enjoyed hearing Andrew sing out maybe my favorite sloan song "people of the sky". The Murph rocked out hard on the drums really showing sloans versitility, and kick ass rock talent. Jay was playing the strings hard even breaking a string on "the lines you amend" THATS ROCK. Patrick was also breaking strings in the early stages of the show and was belting out the words to all of the tunes. One thing needs to be said in this review....SLOOOOOOOOOAN
anyone disappointed by the _pretty together_ tour (if that's even possible!) will not want to miss the energy of the _action pact_ wicawesome tour. sloan's received a lot of hype since the great performance at this year's edgefest and it's well deserved. the boys were in fine form at the u of g. i've been a die-hard fan since "smeared" and sloan's appeal hasn't wavered. you guys are still generating new fans! good on yeh! sloan fans: audience participation is key - do your research and buy the new one. and guys, when can we expect a release of the b-sides? the japan imports are great, but hey, we are students! don't make us download - it's bad for the soul....
Hey! I went to the show at The Cage and it was amazing! *i still have the damaged ear drum to prove it* ;o) I've seen Sloan many times at larger venues so it was great to get a closer look and listen to one of my favourite bands! Its fun to see the little details on stage*ie. Chris and his hillarious facial gestures to audience members, and my favourite...Patrick in his little argyle sweater :oD * Great show all around! Just a quick question, hopefully someone can answer for me...what was the name of the guest band that played with Sloan at The Cage? Thanks so much!

Saw Sloan at mac last night and needless to say they didnt dissapoint. They were full of energy in the small atmosphere, playing new tunes and the old classics. If ya have the chance to see sloan go, its definatly worth it.

I gotta say, sloan is my favorite band so maybe my opinion is a little biased. but this was the best concert I've ever been to.
They rocked the house for an hour and a half.
My only complaint is that I was the only person around that I could see singing any of the songs off the new album (besides rest of my life).

Hey Everyboy! I'm jerk #1 from Dan's review on September 26th. I must say I was very disappointed with the show. The reason for this of course would be because I got kicked out after about 2 songs. Some punks were getting kicked out and somehow, as I was cheering, the guitarist on the right pointed in my direction. The bouncers must have thought it was me... Anyways, they carted me outside, gave me no explanation as to why I had been kicked out, and told me to go out front to get my money back. I didn't crowd surf(although I wish I had), hit anybody, or scream obscenities like people in previous reviews were complaining about (who the hell complains about crowd surfing???). Anyways, they didn't give me my money back and told me that if I didn't leave they'd call the cops. Several beverages later, I came back to try to find the friend I had been with, but conveniently found the lead singer of Sloan coming out the front door...so I gave it to him. Who the hell do they think they are? Why are they pointing people out of the crowd? They're not that damn good, they should be thankful people are at the show. I have no regrets for yelling at him. Down with Sloan.
Who openned for them? I forgot the name and I want to get there CD. they were really good.
this was my first experience with sloan in concert... and i loved the fact that they came to Sheridan! i've been a huge sloan fan for a while now... and they did not disappoint at all... they played everything that i wanted to hear... the new album certainly fits the title... really enjoyed "nothing lasts forever anymore"... that's a new favourite of mine... and this was extra great for me because i was supposed to be going to the cd release party in toronto... but when we got to club297 they wouldn't let us in cuz i'm a wee bit underage:(... so that made this concert even better... everyone was in good sloan spirits at Sheridan... glad to see my fellow students sharing that sloaner spirit... so COME BACK TO SHERIDAN AGAIN!... ALLRIGHT!
