Music was excellent...crowd up front were a bunch of dicks...if you're the short guy with the green striped shirt send me an e-mail so we can meet up sometime at which point I will punch you in the nose...

The show was REALLY awesome....the guys rock!
I met them after the show and got pictures taken with them....so much fun! They didn't play my favorite song...."lines you amend" but it was still cool....I can't wait to check them out again!
I actually thought the crowd sucked. The band kept telling people to stop crowdsurfing because they were afraid of people getting hurt, but the drunks just wouldn't stop coming. Some total idiot even tried to set the sprinklers off by getting on someone's shoulders and holding a lighter up to one of the sensors. Good idea moron. Electrocute the band and cut the show short, that was good thinking.
Other than that, I thought they put on a great straightforward rock show. If I were into that type of music a bit more I would have been a bit more satisfied, but all in all it was a good show. On some levels I think I actually enjoyed the opening band a bit more. They had some great grooves going, and the drummer had some great beats. He was definitely kicking some ass with that double kick pedal.
I think this show was at the downtown festival... there was a street party going on, and all of Portage ave was closed down. it was a free show.
I can remember they played If It Feels Good Do It for the first time live at this show, and i think they did a couple new songs.

My fourth Sloan show and perhaps the best one yet. Not enough Jay songs, but there never are. The band seemed really together on stage and connected with the audience (at least when it wasn't chaotic...). It's so refreshing to see a band who is genuinely concerned for the fans and won't stop until everyone is having a good and safe time. But at the same time, it's disappointing to see so many 'fans' disrespecting the band and ruining the show for those of us who are truly there for the music. By the way, I love the eye contact and smiles. You guys sure know how to put butterflies in a girl's stomach. (Keep smilin', Jay.)

Sloan is my fav. band ever, and I was finally got to catch them for the first time. What an awesome feeling. I wish there wouldn't have been the problem with some asses up front who kinda ruined the show fro the guys, but besided all that it was a moment that I will never forget. You guys kicked ass.
sloan's set was absolutly magicical.the crowd was going wild,there was an electric vibe the entire time. as for sloan's performance, no other word will describe it other than "wow", they didn't waste time talking excessivly to the audience, it was just one song over and stright into the next, never alowing the energy to dip below "full blast", no time to relax. it was my first sloan show, and hopefully it won't be my last.
