Review of Show in Toronto ON by Antonietta Curcio

After harassing Jay for a picture in front of the Edge studios I marched over to Massey Hall, smartly dressed in my very own Sloan t-shirt, to catch the show. The Flashing Lights opened and got the crowd fan happy. As the Lights left the stage the chants started and short after Sloan appeared. This was my very first Sloan concert and I enjoyed every moment of it. Watching the band move around the stage from song to song in smooth transition and have Jay croon ‘Waiting for Slow Songs” was worth every cent of the $28.00 ticket. Seeing them live and kicking I now realize how talented the band is and thank my lucky star that they are still together after all these years. My only regret of the night is not being able to get the fans (You know who you are!) out of their seats on the balcony (I blame it on Massey Hall’s reclining seats).

Sloan had to be the biggest hit of The Festival Of The Islands that year, I had a blast. I got to meet the band momentarily before the act, me and my buddies will never forget when they signed our beach volleyball!

Review of Show in Welland by Lori

I was at this show as well and couldn't believe the general lack of enthousiasm. I took the day off work cuz it's not too often your favourite band plays around the corner from your house!!! They sounded great (like usual), but the best part was after the show. They all stuck around and hung out with about the 10-15 fans that were hanging around. This was my first opportunity to meet Andrew, which turned out well. They had a bit of time to kill because they were playing in London that night. Over all, it was a fabulous experience, with or without enthousiasm from the other concert goers!

The 2 photos of the guy with the black shirt on, with Chris and Jay are me. I am just looking now, and it seems my friend has sent them in. I never knew! Awesome!

Review of Show in Jacksonville FL by j.a.

It was the second best night of my life, the first being the next night, when I got married. This show (unofficially) served as my bachelor party. My wife and I brought about 30 people up to Jack Rabbitts from our rehearsal dinner (which we left kind of early). Tim, the owner of the club, had put aside the tickets for us(we knew him from playing there). So there I was, with all my best friends, some family, my wife-to-be, and Sloan. Christ, what else could one ask for? And I got to sing People Of The Sky!
Highlights-The best ever live version of The N.S.....The Lines You Amend (my wife's favorite SLoan song, as well as a fave of mine)....Money City Maniacs (with the Hey You!! part being changed to "I Do!!").....and finishing the set with a blistering "Friendship".
THose guys are a class act and certainly an incredibly special group. I have loved every show I have seen them play, but for obvious reasons, this one stands out for me.

this was my first time seeing sloan after many years of waiting, and it exceeded my expectations. the setlist was amazing, but the encore was even better. after a lovely performance of "life of a working girl" with only andrew on keys and chris singing and sitting on the keyboard, chris asked me to come up onstage and sing a song. i ended up singing my favourite sloan song, "500 up," with one of my favourite bands. it was an amazing night.

Review of Show in Pomona, CA by Chase

First Sloan show I had ever seen. Drove about 600 miles to get there. It was pretty odd seeing them all come out and talk to the 50 or so people who were waiting in line to get in. By the time Sloan took the stage, there were maybe 75-100 people there, in a small room, we were pretty much all within a few feet of the stage. I remember Jay didn't sing very much, maybe he was sick? But the show rocked. I just wish I would have remembered my camera.

Review of Show in Buffalo NY by sarah

happy birthday andrew show! woo! chris brought my little sister up on stage to play drums at the end of 'underwhelmed' (while some other little girl played bass) ...and back again to play drums for 'deeper than beauty'. :) she was apparently a better drummer than patrick.

Review of Show in Regina SK by Will

It was the best concert I went to ever. I would go see the next time they came back.
