Review of Show in Winnipeg, MB by Charlie

Sloan, like fine wine and fine art just continues to appreciate with time.
Whether it's hearing a classic like If It Feels Good Do It, Penpals or People Of The Sky or the newer songs like Witches Wand, Believe In Me or All I Am Is All You're Not, this band continually delivers a great live show for their fans.
Probably the fan-friendliest band on the planet, they also are kind enough to either chat for a moment or sign an autograph for their fans. If you're a Sloan fan, but have never been to a Sloan show, you really must go, to fully appreciate them live and to take in not only the sights, but the great sounds of a truly great band.

Review of Show in Thunder Bay, ON by Mike Luce

Hey all! I really enjoyed the show you played in Thunder Bay this past week at C2. I think a got shivers a record setting six or seven times while you guys were playing. Since the evening was so intimate I was able to enjoy the music in closer proximity to the stage then any of the other 11 times I have seen the band live. I could actually here the non-house-amplified version of the guitars coming out the amps for the first time (excellent tone)- and the pure jingle jangle of all the sweet tambourine and shaker. The show highlight for me was “Fading Into Obscruity,” off my favorite Sloan record of all time NEVER HEAR THE END OF IT. The show low for me was getting a little too drunk and then was making the decision to have an out-of-my-mind chat with Chris after the show. I never had the chance to hang with you guys before and I acted like a total idiot- for instance: Chris had the best Rock and Roll kicks I have ever seen te night I saw Rooney open for you and the Strokes at the Orpheum in Vancouver.

And to top it all off: in a drunken moment of foolishness I failed to explain my rating system for Never Hear the End of It with Chris and made it sound like I was passing judgment on some of the songs off that record. What I was actually trying to explain was that my play list was what I considered to be the best of the best of Never Hear The End Of It. Because the truth of the matter is that there is not a bad song on NEVER HEAR THE END OF IT- it is just that there are just so many brilliant tracks that some song cast shadows over others as a result of there shear genius i.e. “I Know You,” “Last Time In Love,” “I Understand,” and “Who Taught You To Live Like That.” When I listen to the CD at home or in my car I don’t skip a single song.

Rock on- Best of luck for the rest of the tour. I also Love the Shit out of the new record. I simply can’t get over how groovy the bridge for “I’m Not A Kid Anymore” is- was that part of the song added in post?

Review of Show in Brandon, MB by Wendy Belgarde

Again...well done Sloan! Caught both the Winnipeg and Brandon shows, both brilliant performances. I loved the fact that Chris threw those two losers off the stage as they were stupid and obnoxious. As far as singing along, Patrick, I was one of the few true fans there who knew the lyrics and was singing all night! Nice mix of new and older hits.

Sloan rocked it as usual. Well done! It was worth the 3 hour trip from North Dakota. I don't understand why Sloan isn't bigger in the States...should be!

Sloan are definitely Canada's finest! After spending huge money to see international acts play here in Winnipeg, I was blown away by Sloan and their performance at the Pyramid… and the fact it cost me $20 to stand 4 feet away from the stage was icing on the cake. Great show, please come back soon!

Next time your in Thunder Bay I would love to bring my kids for your sound check. And If any of you guys ride motorcycles, I would lend my cruiser (shes a beauty), so you could check out the city on 2 wheels.

Another fine performance, I only wish it were an "underaged" show, this way I could bring my kids, 16, 13, and 12, who listen to your songs everyday. It appears you have fans of all ages. Can't wait to see you again.

Review of Show in Brandon, MB by Jimmy Mac

Awesome show last night guys!! Rocked the house as usual, and loved the energy you guys bring across the stage!

P.S. Chris - way to throw those drunk guys off the stage in a hurry towards the end of the show, - hilarious!!
