Was at the show at Mavs...always love seeing this band and had a good time. New songs are great. Not the best sounding show, but a great Sloan show no doubt. Although these guys are grey, they still know how to rock! Takes me back to when my mom would play her old worn out cassette of Navy Blues when I was just a baby. I love you guys...hopefully I can get my daughter (2) into Sloan in a year or so.
Good Times Sloan!
PS. I like the idea of the hired keyboard guy. He seems to be a super fan as well as knowing all the chords.
Free kneowdlge like this doesn't just help, it promote democracy. Thank you.
Your anewsr was just what I needed. It's made my day!
GREAT SHOW. XX rocks, you guys are terrific. Can't wait to catch another show.
I have seen Sloan play multiple times and in many locations over the past 20 years including, Toronto, Guelph, Victoria, Winnipeg and in my home hometown of Peterborough. The show in Peterborough last Wednesday was one of the best I have ever seen. As a die hard fan I am as excited as everyone else when Sloan plays their hits, but to hear personal favorites like 'Take Good Care of the Poor Boy', 'The Life of a Working Girl' (great upbeat adaptation of this by the way), as well as Andrew's extended and awesome set of songs, Chester the Molester during the encore and and the guitar duo between Patrick and Taylor from the Roughs during Money City Maniacs --Wow! what a show. At one point you asked the crowd how familiar we were with Sloan. I am not a front of the stage type of fan, but I was in the crowd making as much noise as I could, wearing my Sloan T from your recent show at the Mod Club to let you know that as long as you guys continue to make music, I will continue to listen. Thanks for playing Peterborough
