This show was a finale for the University of Ottawa's "Winter Challenge 2007". As such, a lot of students show up for the event, not necessarily as fans of the band which happens to be the headliner. Nevertheless I was pleasantly surprised by the crowd's enthusiasm for Sloan! There was some crowd-surfing which Jay, Chris, and Pat tried to discourage...
The set was about 1hr15min, opening with "Flying High Again" and "Who Taught You to Live Like That", and a one-song encore of "If It Feels Good Do It" during which Chris gave us a bilingual version of the opening like "Cette chanson est pour les gens qui connaissent le rock-and-roll - or something like that".
AMAZING SHOW. Then again, what else is to be expected? I pretty much didn't sleep that night after I got to meet Chris after the show! Except for all the crowd-surfing that got my friend a shiner, it was a great time! Definitely going to go out and buy the new CD!
Awesome show. Second time I got to see you guys, it was awesome. I surprised by how much of the new stuff you played, and it sounded awesome live! Amazing show capped off by getting to meet Patrick and Chris!! You can never be disppointed by Sloan's performance!!
Damn good show. I've been a fan for years, and this was the first live performance of Sloan that I've seen. I'm really impressed. Keep up the good work.
I reviewed the concert for The Fulcrum, and talking to the band after the show gave me some mixed reactions. The band sounded really good, but the crowd, at time, was more concerned with making asses of themselves than enjoying the great music being produced directing in front of them.
Check out the story I wrote on it:

I was happy for days - I got to talk to Chris before the show, and I spoke with Jay for 10 minutes after the show. It was fantastic. They are among the most polite and kind people I've spoken with - especially with regards to rock stars.
I want to say 'thank you' to the band for that - it made for an evening I won't soon forget.
It was a good show. The music was good. The crowd not as good. Best part was when quitar tech grabbed fan on stage and dragged him off.
